The BEST Turkey Stuffing

Turkey StuffingWhen Tina over at Mom’s Crazy Cooking announced that this month’s Crazy Cooking Challenge was going to be Stuffing, I scoured the internet and my cookbooks trying to find that oh so perfect stuffing recipe. Then I realized I already have it and have been making it for 14 years of married life. Turkey, Gravy, Stuffing, the one meal my husband has asked me not to mess around with. He likes it just as is. And so here it is, the Best , you will never want to stuff your turkey with anything but this, stuffing recipe. On a side note, I have no idea where this recipe originally came from so if it’s yours thanks for the awesomeness of it!

  • 1 loaf of white bread , toasted and cut into cubes
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 tsp poultry seasonings
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth

1. Melt butter in large skillet, cook onions and celery 10 minutes. Add seasonings stirring to coat. Add toasted bread cubes, again stir to coat. Stir in chicken broth.

2. Stuff into cavity of turkey and cook turkey for 15 minutes per pound at 350 degrees.

3. Remove stuffing from turkey and serve.

4. Eat and enjoy!
